Description
Better Beds is an Add-On that introduces new types of beds with unique mechanics and designs! These beds do not overwrite vanilla beds — they are added alongside them and enhanced with features like time acceleration, sleeping at any time, scaring off entities, and more.
The features of the Add-On are as follows:
- Time Acceleration: Speeds up time (world ticks) to make crops, trees, and plants grow faster. Other features include faster crafting renewals, accelerated events, and more.
- Sleep Without Limits: Sleep anytime you want, even during the day, for as long as you like.
- Dimension Sleeping: Sleep in the Nether or the End without any restrictions!
- Optional Spawnpoint: Choose whether to set your spawnpoint in the bed, allowing you to sleep without losing your current spawn location.
- Animations: Enjoy custom sleep animations while using the bed.
- Multiplayer Support for Servers: Set how many players need to sleep in a world for it to turn to day.
If you don’t like some of these features or want to limit them, you can use the Bed Settings item. This item enables or disables specific bed functions in servers and worlds. For example, you can set the number of players required to sleep through the night — like only needing 3 players.
This item can only be obtained in Creative mode, and its icon is a gear combined with a bed.
If you want to use the beds as bunk beds, you can do so by stacking them — they will automatically transform into bunk beds.

Creative:
To obtain it in Creative mode, open the Creative menu and select your desired bed. If you want to get it using commands, use /give and the bed identifier with the bb: prefix.
Survival:
To craft it in survival mode, you will need a stonecutter and clay. Place the clay in the stonecutter and choose the box based on the type of wood you want for the bed (the type of wood affects the bed's frame).
Then, place the box back in and a list of available beds will appear. The list will show the bed and its sheet style, which can be either a pattern or an animal design. Click on it to craft and obtain your desired bed.
