These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and related services operated at trmc-addons.com and subdomains (collectively, the “Site” or “TRMC Add-Ons”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site, creating a creator account, subscribing to updates, or downloading or browsing add-ons and maps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Who these Terms apply to

We address two main groups:

• Visitors and players — anyone who browses the Site, downloads content, subscribes to emails or notifications, or uses our web or mobile experiences.
• Creators (authors) — people who register as partners, are approved to use the creator dashboard, and publish or manage add-ons, maps, changelogs, media, or related metadata through TRMC Add-Ons.

Some sections apply only to creators; others apply to everyone.

2. Nature of the service

TRMC Add-Ons is an independent platform that hosts, indexes, and distributes user-submitted Minecraft-related add-ons, maps, news, and related materials. We may display advertising, run analytics, send optional product-update messages (where you have opted in), and operate creator tools (for example dashboards, earnings summaries, and notification channels). Features may change over time.

3. Intellectual property — add-ons remain yours (creators)

You retain ownership of your add-ons, maps, names, logos, descriptions, artwork, audio, code (to the extent you hold rights in it), and other materials you submit (“Your Content”). Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Your Content from you to us.

Visitors and other users do not acquire ownership of any add-on by downloading it. They receive only the limited end-user rights described in Section 6.

4. License you grant to TRMC Add-Ons (creators)

So that we can operate the Site lawfully and practically, by uploading, submitting, or otherwise making Your Content available through TRMC Add-Ons (including via our tools, APIs, feeds, or integrations), you grant TRMC Add-Ons a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (to our hosting, CDN, email, push, and analytics providers) license for the duration your Content is listed or stored with us, to:

• Host, store, reproduce, adapt, encode, compress, convert, and transmit Your Content and derivatives needed for delivery (for example generating thumbnails, previews, or packaged files).
• Publicly display, perform, and distribute Your Content on the Site, in apps, in marketing, and in communications related to TRMC Add-Ons (for example listing pages, search, recommendations, social or promotional posts that reference your public listing).
• Use your name, brand, and public listing metadata (titles, descriptions, screenshots you provided, version info) for attribution and promotion of the Site and your listings.
• Send technical and product-update notifications to users who have opted in (for example newsletter or notification subscriptions tied to your add-on).
• Process Your Content automatically for security, malware scanning, spam prevention, and abuse detection where we implement such measures.

This license ends for new uses when you remove Your Content and we have completed reasonable deletion from our live systems (backups and residual CDN caches may persist for a limited technical period). Some copies may remain where the law requires retention or where users already downloaded files outside our control.

You confirm you have all rights necessary to grant the above license and that Your Content does not infringe third-party rights.

5. Creator accounts, approval, and dashboard

Creator access may require registration, verification of contact details, and manual or automated approval by us. We may refuse, suspend, or revoke access for breach of these Terms, legal risk, security concerns, or operational reasons.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Information you provide (for example email, Discord, profile links) should be accurate and kept up to date where we rely on it for payouts or legal notices.

Internal credentials or server-side data we generate to operate the service are not intended for redistribution; treat them as confidential operational material.

6. End-user rights (downloads & use)

Unless a specific add-on or creator publishes a separate license (for example on the download page or in packaged files), your use of downloaded content is limited to a personal, non-commercial license to install and use the add-on or map with Minecraft in line with Mojang’s applicable terms and the creator’s stated rules.

Without prior written permission from the rightful owner (usually the creator), you may not: redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, publicly share download links for piracy, decompile, or reverse engineer add-ons except where mandatory law allows; remove or alter attribution or license notices supplied by the creator; or use the Site or Content to build a competing mirror or bulk scraper.

7. Partner program, earnings, and payouts

Where we operate a partner or revenue-sharing program, additional rules (percentages, eligibility, payment methods, tax forms, minimum thresholds) may be communicated in the creator dashboard, by email, or in separate agreements. Those details form part of your commercial understanding with us where they explicitly reference these Terms.

We may process aggregated or per-period earnings data based on reports, analytics, or third-party sources we rely on. Figures are provided for information and may be adjusted for refunds, fraud, chargebacks, or reporting delays. We do not guarantee uninterrupted monetization or a minimum income.

8. Prohibited conduct (all users)

You agree not to: upload malware or deceptive software; impersonate others; harass users or staff; attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts; scrape the Site in a way that harms performance or violates robots rules we publish; circumvent technical limits or paywalls we apply; or use the Site for unlawful purposes.

9. Third-party rights & Mojang / Microsoft disclaimer

TRMC Add-Ons is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang AB, Microsoft Corporation, or Minecraft. “Minecraft,” “Mojang,” and related marks and assets are trademarks and intellectual property of their respective owners. Add-ons are community creations; compatibility and behaviour may vary by game version and platform.

10. Advertising, analytics, and cookies

We use advertising, analytics, and consent tools (for example Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, Hotjar, and a consent management platform) as configured on the Site. You can adjust cookie and consent choices where our CMP provides a UI (for example via “Cookie settings” in the footer where available).

11. Newsletter and product-update communications

By subscribing to our Add-On Updates Newsletter or similar opt-in channels, you consent to us storing your email address and your preferences (such as which add-ons you want updates for). We use this data only to send product-update notifications and related service messages, subject to your subscription settings. We do not sell your email as a standalone product; we may use subprocessors (email delivery providers) strictly to send mail.

We may reference subscriptions internally with stable identifiers so your email is not exposed publicly on the Site.

12. Other notifications (push, Discord, app)

Where we offer optional notifications (for example web push, mobile app push, or Discord integrations), separate prompts or platform permissions may apply. You can typically revoke them through your device, browser, or the relevant app settings.

13. DMCA, copyright complaints, and repeat policy

We respect intellectual property. If you believe Content on the Site infringes your rights, send a detailed notice including identification of the work, the URL on our Site, your contact information, and the statements required by applicable law (for example under the U.S. DMCA if you rely on it). We may remove or disable access to material when appropriate and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

14. Moderation, removal, and termination

We may remove, refuse, or restrict any Content or account that we believe violates these Terms, the law, or third-party rights, or that poses security or operational risk. We may also discontinue the Site or features with reasonable notice where practicable.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and all Content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that add-ons will be error-free, virus-free, or compatible with every device or Minecraft version.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TRMC Add-Ons and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or Content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Site in any twelve-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us in that period for optional paid services offered directly by TRMC Add-Ons (if any), or zero if you did not pay for such services. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example a banner or email to creators).
