Mojang has been introducing a multitude of blocks in the latest snapshots, significantly transforming the game's ambience. In this article, I will highlight all the changes and explore the new possibilities these blocks bring to the game. Let's get started!

These new blocks, along with improvements like the new leaf particle effects, have completely transformed biomes such as forests, deserts, and swamps. Now, let's dive into the different ways we can use these new blocks!

Decorative Use with Fireflies

Although many players have complained about how fireflies work (since they are a particle-generating block rather than an entity), this actually comes with several advantages. One of them, as ElRichMC mentioned, is using fireflies to create an angelic atmosphere.

The trick is to place a platform full of firefly bushes, then build your main structure one block above that platform. This setup creates a stunning visual effect, with tiny one-pixel white particles moving around, generating a mystical and immersive vanilla-style aura.

Decoration with Flowers and Bushes

These new blocks now allow us to create more experiences. A clear example is in park design previously, we could only place grass and a few flowers, but now, by combining these new blocks with older ones, we can create a much more organic environment.

Another great use is for wildlife environments. Zoo decorations can now feel more immersive thanks to dead bushes (a variant of the new bushes that appear dried out and are typically found in deserts). A great example would be using them in savanna or desert enclosures, among other themed habitats.

Decorations with Cactus Flowers

These flowers are honestly amazing! They work similarly to lotus flowers on water and can also serve as a replacement for Spore Blossoms when decorating without their annoying particles.

A simple yet effective use for them is in floral floors and areas with abundant fauna, adding a touch of natural beauty without overwhelming the environment.
